My Ipod Touch

I bought an iPod touch yesterday it was really cool. Now I know why people are so crazy about Apple products. I couldn't resist myselff to blog about it. Just now getting accoustmed to it. By the way right now I am blogging from my cute Ipod Touch.

I'm loving it..........

Why people do that ?

Today i was traveling in the bus and there was a 25 year old guy who is standing on the foot board. The bus is half empty i don't what makes him stand there. Then the conductor just called that guy to come on board but he genuinely rejected the request and kept standing there.

Is it the comfortability he gets there or he just want to feel the Chennai pollution ? (I doubt it !) . Guys keep note that children will be watching us they just they will just imitate us.Please avoid foot board travel.

Frustration

I was looking for a house for rent. My first thought is to scan the online portals so that i can get some leads. I just did a search in magicbricks,99acres,indiaproperty,sulekha the results will be like individual postings are very rare and it will over valued. I am thinking like " Why people wont post in the online portals ? Is that they are not tech savvy kinds ? " might be true .

So the ad's didn't helped me at all.So the next thing i did is go and get a Free Ad's paper and try the search this time i got one or two. Maybe here the just dial concept works people just calls and tell their Ad and it will be printed. Here also no luck for some we called them late some doesn't suit our requirements.Half of my patience is gone here as i went to see a Apartment in saidapet which taken off all my strength in walking (maybe i should practice jogging) and i finally reached the destination the road is so small that a two biker can't go around but it's ok as i don't have a bike or car (My salary doesn't fit for that ) we went inside and it is damn small and don't have any ventilation and he said 6k is the rent"What 6k for this type of house ?". Ok i left the place as if i was got cheated but i told my friend about this incident and he said in reality it is how it will work in saidapet.

Ok my intention is not pay a penny to the middle man .So me and my friend decided to roam around and check if there are any TOLET boards around. We roamed in Thiruvanmiyur on the first day. Wow! on the first turn went i have seen a TOLET hanging over there.So we jumped to that place and asked with a lot of excitement with the little knowledge of Tamil i know. He said it's for family. It sounds me like "You stupid bachelors you don't know how to maintain the house. Just get out of my place !" and again we just started roaming around we went to one house it's in the first floor house seems to be good but small it's ok we are looking for only two guys then we decide ok if it is 7k we will say YES. I asked the boy who showed us the house with my Telugu tamil acscent "What is the rent ?" he said "it's 9k""Are you nuts who is going to pay 9k for a 400 sqft house ?" umm.. ok it's his house he can price it whatever way he wants.

Then our search went on from vijayanagar to velachery ending with no TOLET boards but that contradicts the online portals which has a lot of listings given by Brokers. "Damn why don't they just put that board ?"


I went to kotivakkam to check, there i have seen houses which can accommodate schools of 200 strength " why you guys need those big houses ? Why you make the Real Estate to reach it skies ?" ok they have money so they can build, as simple as it is. It is obvious that we can't get a house for 6k in that area.

Frustration all over my mind.My friend said "Life is always beautiful" it made me a bit chill.The next day i have seen an Ad in TCS portal which eventually got me a good (thought so) house

What happens

What happens if Bill Gates was born in India in 1955 (which is his actual birth year) at the age of 20 he will not have the access to computer which he has in united states.

I agree that Vinod Khosla who was born at the same time in India.He is also successful of starting Sun Microsystems but he i not as successful as Gates.If he is given the opportunity like Gates maybe he would have founded a better company than microsoft.

I am not actually comparing Microsoft Vs Sun success where both of them serving a different kinds of market.I am talking the opportunity what Gates has having an access to the computer at a tender age.

New Home Syndrome

The biggest expense in life is having an own house.How to get rid of "New Home Syndrome" ? How to make ourself not to get into that huge debt ?

Once we are taken that decision we will be paralyzed not to make any adventures in life we will bound to that debt.But having a home on loan is not asset it is the liability for next twenty years !

I assume like it's good to take a new house when the EMI what we need to pay is 100% more than the rent what we are paying now.What if we need to pay five times (some places more than that) the rent what we are paying right now ? Is it wise to get into debt ?

There is contrary to this "not acting fast will end up paying more from our pocket" it is like in 2004 one sq ft in velachery is Rs 1500 now it's close to Rs 4000 a huge bump in the price with no reason there is no development happened in terms of road,transport etc.I don't know why the hell the price is increased.We need to hope all this printing money will go bust and we will end up having a own house for affordable price.

Customer Matters

Yesterday i ordered a Pizza from "Pizza Hut" at 8:30 PM and the person said i will receive the order within 35-40 minutes.This is not the first time,i usually order when i feel a bit lazy to go out and have a bite.

It's been 9:30 i am so hungry so i called up those guys to know the status they told me "it's been already dispatched and it will reach me in ten minutes" ,fine it's just 30 minutes late and it is very much acceptable.They even said their manager (or some designation i didn't remember) will call me in five minutes.

I didn't received the order or the call until 10:00 so i really got pissed off so i called up that guy and told (very rude) "Even if your man turns up now,i am not going to pay for it" then i just went out to get something to eat by cursing the Pizza Hut service.

At 10:30 the man turned up and handed over the bill.I told him "i am not going to pay for this talk to your manager" he spoke with him and he said sorry for what happened,he handed over the Pizza for FREE.I was surprised actually i would have rejected the offer but still feeling hungry so took it and said thanks .

They didn't promise me anything like "Domino's" claiming that if it didn't reach you by 30 minutes it's FREE but still they care


Now the Pizza Hut is eligible to take one more order from me

What makes the people feel

What happens when a person gets double the salary(income) ... than what he is getting right now.

1.Will he change his lifestyle all of a sudden ?

2. Will he feel more secure ?

3.Will he enjoy the life more than what he is doing before ?

4.He just feels he is more prominent in the society ?

I think the last one is more appropriate.The only thing why a person wants a double hike or more money is just to satisfy his pride.

Why the corruption exists

The two main factors which are fueling the existence of corruption are Fear and Laziness.

The fear is the factor where people think (maybe unnecessarily !) there work will not be completed on time or it will unfinished forever.

The Laziness is where people don't want to stand in long queues or to make less travel.

The only way is to overcome this is to make transaction governance stronger by the government..

Being Employed Benifits You ?

What benefits you get working for somebody ?

Regular paycheck (considering your company is not a sinking ship!) no need to do something extraordinary to get

Reason No need to dig into the reasons like What is the purpose of life ?

Manage No need to manage rebels (the person who are not ok you) because you care only yourself.

Market No need to worry about what competition next product is ...

But overall life will be boring ;) !

Autism

National Autism Awareness Month

I don't know why there is no much awareness in India regarding Autism.I actually heard the word first time from sridhar's (ZOHO,Ceo) blog and searched in the wikipedia where it listed certain characteristics.I just compared it with my cousin which actually matched ! ..like he can speak everything but he can't communicate etc.

It actually took many days for me to convince my uncle that my brother is suffering from Autism as we are from a backward village it is hard to believe all those things.At last now we are providing some therapies to my brother now he is able to communicate a little bit.

Please spread the word Autism that it exists... there is a nice blog in Facebook

For one, he's never had a girlfriend. He stopped speaking as a small child and sometimes he has trouble sitting still or keeping his hands off delicate objects when his senses are overloaded by his surroundings. In some instances, he even struggles to demonstrate to other people that he understands what they are saying to him.

Randomness Vs Ordered

Randomness gives the opportunity of surprises .The surprises are unpredictable but surprise is a surprise.It can range 0 to 10 on a scale for happiness.As we will be waiting for gift at our own Birthday party in childhood sometimes it will end up as a disappointment even the gift you got it from your best pal as a surprise.

Conversely Ordered is predictable no surprises whats so ever but its safe.The range of happiness will stay say at a level of 4 always or maybe increasing constantly at a range of 0.1% like our salary :)

I use to listen to songs while traveling.I have an option of "play it in sequence" which i actually got bored and switched to random.First it was great like listening to a radio don't know which one comes next (still from a sample play list of 50 songs,which is pre selected ;)) after sometime due to bad algorithm of randomness i happen to hear same songs again and again where i my fav's so again switched to sequence mode this time got bored very quickly :).switched to "Play it in Random", randomness gives me more joy even i miss some fav's.

Don't define your path and let the randomness hack your career ;) and surprises comes in different packages
